Job roles
In this section, I will explain the different Job roles of the stage management section.
Stage Manager
The Stage manager is overall in charge of t team and rehearsals. They are in charge of the budget for Stage management and props. They will also run the tech in production week. The stage manager will also interrelate with different departments such as props, set, lighting and also the director. They would do this to make sure that everyone is confident that they know what they are doing.
Deputy Stage Manager
(DSM)
The DSM or deputy stage manager will call the show from a desk called a prompt desk. This desk is used solely for running the show. They are present in all rehearsals taking notes which will come together to eventually create a prompt copy. The DSM also creates rehearsal notes and show notes for the production team to read. A photo of a prompt desk can be seen on the right. The people a DSM would interrelate with will be the lighting and sound departments so they can place there cues into the prompt copy and the scripts that the lighting and sound departments will have. They will also interrelate with people such as stage managers and assistant stage managers.

Assistant Stage Manager (ASM)
The assistant stage manager's job consists of assisting the DSM and the Stage manager. They are also involved in sourcing and creating props. During rehearsals, the ASM will run onstage and offstage Q's as well as scene changes and laying out props. They will also reset props at the end of every show. The ASM will interrelate with people such as the DSM to make sure they are happy with where all the props will be placed.
